Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)s
Our workforce includes a diversified and flexible group of CNA's who are responsible for providing direct care to persons served under licensed nurse supervision, assisting persons served in attaining the highest quality of life, and treating each person with dignity and respect while following established facility policies and procedures. Care of persons served is coordinated with other members of the rehabilitation team.
Qualified applicants must possess active status on the State of Iowa CNA Registry.
Speech and Language Pathologist
The Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for the comprehensive provision of clinical communication, speech, language, cognitive and swallowing services to individuals with brain injury and/or other neurological disabilities. Complete assessment and intervention plans are designed for each person served to achieve maximum functioning.
A Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited program is required. Two to three years of clinical experience in rehabilitation of persons with brain injury or other neurological disorders is preferred. Must maintain ASHA certification with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence or progression. Must have a valid Iowa Speech Pathology License. Must be able to obtain or currently have a valid Iowa Class D3 Chauffeurs license. Must maintain Heart Saver PR certification.
Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) evaluates and assesses persons served in the areas of leisure education and leisure functioning, develops treatment plans, and provides direct recreation therapy services on an individualized or group basis. The CTRS provides opportunities for voluntary involvement in leisure activities, provides leisure services to improve functional abilities, promote application of leisure-related skills, knowledge, and attitudes, and builds on individuals' strengths to increase independence.
