We know the journey following a brain injury, stroke or other neurological condition can be challenging for you and your loved ones, that's why On With Life hosts a monthly Iowa Neuro Survivor + Family support group! We invite you to join us as we come together each month for support, sharing and social gathering.
Each session will consist of an activity/social gathering to start (game night, education topic, etc.) followed by time to connect with others through three breakout options (details below). Come as you are and attend whichever option best suits your needs! Gathering will take place the third Monday of each month from 5-7 pm at On With Life's Ankeny Outpatient Center. Please enter through the main outpatient entrance upon arrival.
This group is a safe and open space for individuals experiencing/recovering from a neuro injury or condition to gain support, engage in activities, and share with others who may be in a similar situation.
Caregiver Support
We know how important it is to support caregivers while their loved ones battle a neuro injury or condition, which is why we provide this space for family members, friends, and anyone who serves as a caregiver. This is safe group to gain community, resources and support related to the troubles experienced during a loved one's recovery
Glioblastoma Support
On With Life is collaborating with Kristin, a caregiver for her husband who battled a glioblastoma (GBM), to bring this specific support for those in a similar situation. She attends group to provide a listening ear, support and other resources that may be helpful for those fighting GBM and their loved ones
