Interested in a clinical internship at On With Life?

If you’re interested in a challenging clinical internship where you can foster your neuro learning and development, we encourage you to consider On With Life. On With Life offers unpaid clinical internships through our post-acute inpatient and outpatient neuro rehabilitation programs. On With Life’s intensive rehabilitation program serves individuals through our five innovation centers: traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, concussion and complex neuro.

On With Life offers clinical internship opportunities for post-graduate students from accredited programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, recreation therapy and speech-language pathology. We look for students who demonstrate strong clinical and critical thinking skills and a passion for neuro rehabilitation. This intensive, specialty internship is designed as one of the final internships before graduation, and our preference is to take students who have completed all classwork. We also require an active site affiliation with your school, and discipline-specific interviews and essays may be required. Your placement in either our inpatient or outpatient program will be decided closer to the clinical time.

If you are interested in a clinical internship for all disciplines at On With Life, please have your academic coordinator or fieldwork coordinator contact Kim Reed, clinical coordinator, at kim.reed@onwithlife.org or 515-289-9600 ext. 215.

On With Life helped me become a better clinician and build the confidence to work with any person served, no matter the level of complexity. Through this internship, I had opportunities to observe different professions and was able implement other treatment interventions into my sessions. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and believe I will be a better physical therapist and person because of my experience here.
